GREEN FAMILY APARTMENTS

Designed by BARIŞ ALTIOK ARCHITECTS, The Green Family Apartments is located in Meerbusch, Germany. Existing context of the neighborhood and adaptation of the neighborhood design guidelines had been the driving force while forming the building mass. We aimed to achieve sense of warmth with the use of brick that creates a welcoming atmosphere while contributing to the continuation along the street. Using metal panels and glass creates a movement at the facade. Large terraces facing the yard interconnects the apartment units with nature. The yard acting as the social space for the users, aims to improve neighbor relations that forms a healthy community. The project consists of 16 apartment units with (9) 3-Bedroom, (2) 1-Bedroom, (5) 2 Bedroom Unit types with 4 of these units being Duplex units. The basement contains 27 car parking garage along with dedicated storage rooms for the units.
