ZEYNEP ERSAN PEDIATRIC DENTAL CLINIC

Designing a pediatric dental clinic comes with the challenge of having to consider ranging ages of children’s perception. Dental anxiety is a common problem, which can affect people of all ages, but appears to develop mostly in childhood and adolescence. Thus, we knew that we have to deal with this problem as soon as a child steps into the clinic. Design elements; forms, colors and textures are all serving the purpose of providing a space where infants, children and adolescents can feel comfortable, safe and joyful. Zeynep Ersan Pediatric Dental Clinic is located at Adana’s metro area where older residential apartments are being used as commercial spaces in recent years. Having to convert an old residential apartment into a dental clinic was another challenge. Despite of the existing structural limitations, columns and concrete load bearing walls, Baris Altiok Architects has managed to accomplish a design meeting the client’s needs.
